Legal Assistant Maria Monday
Maria Monday is a valuable member of our Oklahoma City Law Office, not only as a legal assistant, but as part of our ‘legal’ family. She received an associate degree in accounting from Rose State College in 1998, and is a graduate of the Department of Legal Assistant Education of the University of Oklahoma Law Center.
Maria was born in Michoacan, Mexico and came to the United States as a teenager. Her parents wanted her to return to Mexico, but she knew that her future was in the United States. She was fortunate to meet an American family who took her in and treated her as a daughter. They gave her a great education by sending her to Mount St. Mary High School. She graduated in 1993 and received a scholarship to attend University of Oklahoma. She came to work for the Robles Law Firm in 1999 as a secretary. Showing a great deal of promise and a willingness to work hard, she was given the opportunity to begin a paralegal course at the University of Oklahoma. She completed that program, with honors, and became a certified legal assistant. She is fluent in Spanish and English. She assists Robert Robles in the preparation of all legal filings and correspondence, and is a source of help to our clients. Maria is married and has 3 children. She is a Girl Scout troop leader and active in all her girls’ school activities.
